Tailor on the avenue was established in 2019 as a fashion forward concept focused on bringing the sophistication back to the art of tailoring.

 
With this emphasis our brand was then created! The shop was designed to give off a clean and casual vintage type vibe while at the same time bringing an all new fresh contemporary spin to an old world craft.


We have introduced new innovative concepts to the industry such as offering a customer rewards loyalty program, "skip the line" express drop off dry cleaning and corporate group concierge tailoring services. 

 

When the Covid 19 pandemic struck we offered all of our customers one free tailor made face mask to show our appreciation of their continued support during a difficult time. Our customers safety and well-being will always remain a top priority.


We want all of our customers to take comfort in knowing that they will receive the same attention to detail whether they are dropping off a vintage suit, bridal couture from 5th Avenue or simply a pair of pants from a thrift store. Your garments will be expertly curated to your body and lifestyle. 

 

Since opening, Tailor on the avenue has gained the business of numerous loyal individuals from all over the State of Rhode island. We have also gained loyal customers from Massachusetts and Connecticut, while also earning the business of a handful of local celebrities. We invite you to a new and improved tailoring and dry cleaning experience all at a fair and competitive price point.

We employ master tailors and seamstresses with over 20 years of experience. No job is too intricate, too big, or too small.  We can handle anything from home decor alterations, police, fire, military, private school uniforms, religious garbs to full wedding party's.

Tailor on the Avenue is a upscale first class tailoring and dry cleaning business. I have brought my husbands suits and dress clothes here to be tailored and dry cleaned. The quality of work and fast turn around are second to none. I recently brought a dress there that I needed altered and back very quickly and Denise and her team got the dress done and perfect in ONE DAY! I felt comfortable and perfect! Tailor on the Avenue is also very clean and has been following all the guidelines regarding the COVID19 virus. Denise and her staff wear masks and do everything to ensure that their clients are safe and comfortable. This is an amazing place! It is so clean and beautiful. It is literally spotless inside and they take the cleaning procedure and business guidelines very seriously during Covid. I have been coming here since they opened and my daughter (teenager) also brings all of her clothing here as well. Everything we have ever had altered is completely perfect: winter formal dresses, special occasion dresses, beading, stones, custom work ..... EVERYTHING always perfect. There aren’t enough compliments I could possibly give this tailor shop: efficient, polite, service oriented, accommodating, fast, you name it, they achieve it! I highly recommend this place, I was in town for a family function and my suit needed some alterations I stopped in on that Saturday morning of the event, and they were able to accommodate me and do the alterations on my suit for that very night.
